Happy Anniversary!
October 2023 marks the sixth anniversary of Mountain West UAS! Yes, the group was founded in October 2017, originally known as the Central Colorado UAS Club. Last year we changed the name to better represent our membership and sphere of influence.
At our annual meeting, the Board elected officers for the coming year. Taylor Albrecht will continue one more year as President, while Mike DeSanti assumes the Vice President role. Honora Roberts takes over the duties of Secretary, while Dennis Heap continues as Treasurer.
Our very capable board consists of the officers listed above along with Zach Dougherty, Bill Sample and Al Simpson. Al continues his leadership of the Buena Vista Drone Training Park Planning and Maintenance team, while Bill Sample heads the Education team.
We continually seek members who wish to serve on our teams and in a leadership role. If you are interested, please let us know by emailing info@mountainwestuas.org.
President Taylor’s focus this year, if there can be one ( :)) is to stand up very active Membership and Meetings and Activities teams. If you would like to help, please let him know. The Board will be reaching out to all members soon by telephone to find out what’s happening with them!
