Drone Training Park Work Day

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, several members helped spruce up the Buena Vista Drone Training Park. The weather forecast was pretty good, but the reality was it looked pretty bad. Taylor was having rain at his home, but the BV Blue Hole weather phenomena proved effective. While overcast and a little chilly, the weather was actually a blessing for the work to be done.

Delmar Smith brought over his coveted tractor and smoothed out the floor area of the new shelters. He and Al Simpson made this a very comfortable area by also removing rocks, rocks, and surprisely more rocks.

Honora Roberts and Taylor Albrecht took on picnic table painting duty. The difference is stunning as evidenced by the before & after photos below.

Jim Amster used his trimmer around all of the obstacles, safety cones, landing pads and bucket stands.

Dennis Heap was seen pushing dirt around and supervising all of the other tasks.

Our thanks to everyone who was able to help create this fantastic facility
